In the early 1970's Gorge Rock began supplying ready mix concrete to areas surrounding Flaming Gorge Reservoir. After operating for several years, however, company founder Don Winter determined that a better opportunity existed 60 miles to the northeast in Green River, Wyoming. Gorge Rock relocated to the present site on the banks of the Green River was in 1979, where the company continues operations today.

In 2001, Gorge Rock was acquired, making it the first out of state venture owned by Clyde Companies, Incorporated.

Gorge Rock owns and operates a strong fleet of front discharge and conventional mixer trucks and two batch plants in Sweetwater County, making Gorge Rock the leading supplier of ready mixed concrete in area. 

In order to supply your aggregate needs, Gorge Rock owns and operates belly dump trains, semi end dumps, and dump truck and pups. Gorge Rock also has two fully fledged crushing operations. One of these crushing operations is equipped with a state of the art wash-plant that produces washed material to strict specifications.
 
Gorge Rock is privately owned and operated with the principal stockholder being members of the Clyde family. Gorge Rock has a proud tradition of being a locally owned company with strong ties to the communities in which it operates. Gorge Rock is a proud supporter of local highs school organizations, rodeos, little league teams, and community events.
